Aunt's ANZAC Biscuit Recipe
- 1 Cup of Plain Flour
- 125 Grams of Butter
- 2 Tablespoons of Golden Syrup
- 1 Cup of Sugar
- 1 Cup of Rolled Oats
- 3/4 Cup of dessicated Coconut
- 1 Tablespoon of boiling Water
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Bi-Carb Soda
- Preheat Oven to 150-160°C
- Slowly melt the butter together with the golden syrup
- Mix the dry ingredients, (Flour, Sugar, Oats and Coconut), together in a bowl
- Mix the bi-carb soda with the boiling water
- Make a well and pour in the melted butter mixture and the bi-carb soda mixture
- Stir together untill you have a moist, gooey mass
- Spoon mixture onto baking trays
- Bake for 20 minutes
- Once removed from the oven, allow biscuits to set
